How can I fix a greasy top layer on my resin?

  • Sometimes when resin is left to cure in cold or humid conditions, a condition known as amine blush can occur.  This is when the surface develops a greasy or waxy film from the amines in the hardener. This film will clog sandpaper so the best way to remove it is to wash the surface with warm water mixed with a small amount of dishwashing detergent. The amines are water soluble and will wash away easily.
