Should I immerse the ArtResin in a water bath before mixing?

  • Why Do I Need To Give Resin A Warm Water Bath?
  • How Does Cold Weather Affect Resin?
  • Yes, if your ArtResin is colder than room temperature, we recommend using a water bath to warm your resin because epoxy resin is generally easier to work with and has far less bubbles when it's warm. Immersing the tightly capped bottles in a warm (not boiling) water bath for 10-15 minutes will help to mitigate this issue. Be advised that warming will decrease the 45 minute working time by about 10 minutes. Be cautious not to get any water into the mixture - even a single drop can cause your resin to cure cloudy.
