- Once you combine the resin and the hardener, a chemical reaction takes place to begin the curing process. Heat is produced during this chemical reaction and is completely normal. Heat output is greater with greater quantities of the resin mixture.
- Be aware, however, that if the resin sits in mass in the mixing cup for too long, especially after a warm water bath, it can heat up very quickly and cure prematurely. To prevent this, we recommend pouring immediately after mixing, or portioning out the resin into smaller cups once mixed.
