Congratulations to artist Lana Nguyen, our latest Instagram winner! Born and raised in Kyiv, Ukraine, Lana always enjoyed crafting and painting in her free time: "
I love working with my hands. It gives me moments of joy when creating something handmade and feeds my soul. I hope when viewers look at my art it makes them smile and feel cheerful."
Lana double majored in both Interior Design and Art in college, figuring these two would work well together. "I knew there were so many medium options and techniques, so I kept my mind open when it came to making any art pieces. The work that I do now has been all self taught."

Lana paints yupo paper with alcohol ink which is then hand cut into collage designs: "I like alcohol ink because paintings come out very abstract and I love that watercolor look when I paint my papers." She adheres the pieces to a wood panel and covers it in multiple layers of ArtResin until the surface is smooth.
Lana loves the glossy finish ArtResin gives to her work: " I tried to clear coat my first abstract artwork in 2017 and fell in love with how much depth and dimension it added to the piece. [ArtResin] has elevated my art to the next level. Abstract paintings became very sleek and all of my smaller paper collage pieces became cuter!"
A full time artist, Lana sells her work on Etsy as well as in local stores and galleries in Arizona.
